What was the Bribe Case of Performance Motors Ltd?

Former Performance Motor employees were charged for taking bribes from a car dealer firm, Teo Tian Seng Motor Credit Pte Ltd (TTS) and finance company, named Skyway Credit and Leasing Pte Ltd. Let’s discuss the entire case in detail.
There were 3 employees involved in the corruption case viz Patrick Pow, Singleton Marc Alexander, and Chong Ann Teck.
Patrick Pow was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Performance Motors Ltd who in his position could recommend for renewal or termination of dealership agreements. He was charged with 8 corruption charges — 5 relating to a car dealer, Teo, and 3 relating to a finance company.
From Ms. Teo Kian Hong, Pow had received a Hermes watch worth S$1,200, two Tag Heuer watches worth S$1,390 and S$1,575, a S$1,388 Nokia 9210i handphone; and a loan of S$60,000. And, in return, Pow agreed not to recommend the termination of the Teo Tian Seng Motor Credit Pte Ltd dealership.
Besides Teo, Pow had also obtained bribes from Mr. Kheh Thiam Hoo, a director of Skyway. In exchange for ‘maintaining a good business relationship’ with the Skyway Credit and Leasing Pte Ltd, Mr. Kheh had given Pow a Franck Muller watch worth S$13,390 and two loans of S$50,000 and S$32,000 for accepting proposals, submitted by Skyway.
A former senior sales manager, Chong Ann Teck is accused of receiving S$1,800 discount on a $11,800 Rolex Yacht Master watch from Ms. Teo and a $12,700 Pioneer plasma TV set from Mr. Kheh.
A former Managing Director, Singleton Marc Alexander had received two Rolex watches, 3 Nokia handphones, and a loan of S$78,000 from Teo. Teo had given these bribes as she wanted Alexander to continue to appoint TTS as an authorized dealer for BMW cars.
All the 3 former employees were charged with corruptly obtaining gratification from the dealer and finance company.
